Dawn had an interesting opportunity to travel with a couple of other missionary ladies on a day trip to Poland to visit Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Actually there were three camps under the Auschwitz system which were run by the Nazis during World War II. This was the first time that Dawn has had such an opportunity to visit with other missionary ladies on a “girls day out” so to speak. When they arrived there, it was sort of fitting that the atmosphere was dreary and cold and rainy. She tells me that the tour of the facility was very enlightening and gave her a fresh perspective on the atrocities which were carried out there by the Nazis. EBC.N – Date Night ’23
Valentine’s gatherings at church can be fun! Last night was a good example of that. Dawn and I signed up to join fellow Englewood Baptist Church, North Campus congregants, for a couple’s date night. Last evening, I was blessed to join in an ordination council for a brother, new friend, and new committee member for CEF of Greater Jackson. This brother is Bruce Entsminger, and he is being ordained “officially” into the Gospel Ministry at Poplar Heights Baptist Church. Mind you, Bruce has already been dedicated to the ministry…
Bobby Says “Armor-Up”
Last night at the Gathering, our brother, Bobby Lewellen, shared the Word with us. His focus came from Ephesians 6:10-18 and a discussion about the armor of God. He also touched on some verses in Matthew to start his devotional thoughts. I would sum up Bobby’s message as an encouragement to put on the full…

I went to an old-fashioned gospel singing jubilee on Friday night. It was a wonderful event, filled with memories and joy. Many of the artists ministering to us were old friends and I traveled around and sang with many of them… oh, let’s say… over 20 years ago. This was during the years when I…

Yessir… uh, and yes ma’am… I had another opportunity to do a live taping on “6 In The City” a few days ago to discuss a training conference that my local CEF chapter is conducting soon. I sincerely appreciate Janet Wilbanks for extending the invitation. I also really enjoy being on this “well-done” local TV…
