This photo album is a special one for many reasons but I would like to focus on one aspect of what made this day unique. These photos were taken at the main Czech Baptist Church here in Brno. The name of the church is “Bratrska Jednota Baptistu of Brno.” The reason this day was so special is because it was an affirmation of the Czech national brothers and sisters to accept the Roma brothers and sisters into their church and lives. If you understand the history of the Roma in Eastern Europe, you will know this is no small thing. Praise God above for changing attitudes, cultures, and hearts… amen. Below are several photos from the service. The panorama shot at the top was taken from my vantage point in the balcony area.

Prayer and Fasting
Last night, I was blessed to join a group of brothers and sisters in Christ at the home of mutual friends. Dr. Abraham and Pheba Santhosh invited us into their home to break a fast and pray together for whatever God had impressed upon us. We had fasted during the day to heighten the emphasis…
New Life in Old Bones
Last night I was blessed to share in a special service that was designed to introduce a potential recovery church to Humboldt, TN. Yet, Thanksgiving Day should mean more. Shouldn’t it? At the risk of sounding TOO old fashioned, I am thankful for a lot…
Maximum Man – 2024
Last night at Englewood Baptist Church, a large group of men were BLESSED to hear Dr. Tony Evans and Pastor David Jett speak at the 2024 Maximum Man Conference. I was there and can say it was a huge blessing and encouragement. I saw many many men of stature from around West Tennessee who represented…
Who is My Neighbor?
Isn’t it interesting that often the most learned among us struggle with this simple question… “who is my neighbor?” In Luke, we recall the story of the Good Samaritan as Jesus presented it to the man who was “an expert in Moses’ Teachings.” You may want to go back and read the whole story again,…
Power in Prayer
Over the last few months, five or six, I believe, I have met with a small group of believers to pray and fast for a day each month. We try to get together near the first Saturday of each month. I have held the fast most of those months, but not every month. A couple…
